Ups and Downs?
  • Welcome to ThomasAWilson.com!

First thing’s first, thanks for visiting and keep coming back, i’ll have fresh content weekly…

    Next up:  The NEWS…

After losing my photo hard drive a few weeks back containing ALL of my edited photos, I recovered them and got the drive working again.  The catch?  The original files were recovered, not the edited images!  I spent the past week or so editing my butt off, and have about 45% of my shots done and upped on my Zenfolio account.

Words of advice to the other fledging shooters out there:  BACK EVERYTHING UP THRICE!!!  Yeah, I said “thrice” and meant it!  Sadly, my original drive and my backup drive failed.  My Zenfolio account is my third and final backup of said files.  I’ve taken to burning a data cd/dvd of the original files after getting them onto my base photo drive and one of my hard drives was taken out of rotation (couldn’t get her spinning again) so I again have 3 copies of all of my files, but this time I have an online copy, a digital copy on hard drive, and a hard copy on disc.  Let’s see how this works out!

Lastly, there are a few kinks in the site i’m working out, so if you run into any problems, post a comment and let me know so I can add it to the list!
