Track of the Week: June 6 – 12
It’s been a little while since we’ve had something new from Atlanta, GA native Cee-Lo Green. The wait is now over! DJ Greg Street and Cee-Lo have teamed up to bring us Stray Bullets, a 14 track mix of laid back soul, Gnarles Barkley-esque thump and experimental goodness. There’s too much right with this mixtape to have anything negative to say at all. The mix of 60′s era big band samples on tracks like “Talking To Stangers” and “ChamPain” are pure genius. I’m tempted to say that this is a MUST have for every music lover out there. Just turn it on and enjoy it from start to finish, the casual rap listener need not pay attention.
